Meet Your Team
Rocky Rodriguez was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Rocky earned her undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico, majoring in Journalism and Mass Communications with a supplemental degree in Law & Society.
Rocky then went on to attend Texas Tech Law School where she developed a deep love for both the law and the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
After a few years of practice in a firm, Rocky ventured out and founded Lara Law Firm in 2005. For over 20 years, Rocky has served the community of Carlsbad through legal representation and service in local organizations.
Rocky is a recovering politician, having served as an Eddy County Commissioner and a party nominee for the United States House of Representatives. Locally, Rocky has served on many boards including the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, Carlsbad Medical Center, Carlsbad Department of Development, and is still currently a member of the Downtown Lions Club and local AAUW branch.
Rocky has been recognized numerous times being named Best Lawyer in Carlsbad, New Business of the Year, and earning special awards for service to Veterans, and as a Woman Leader and Trailblazer.
Rocky is also passionate about her number one job; being mom to her beautiful Australian Shepard named Blue. She is an avid (or perhaps rabid) fan of Texas Tech Football. She loves fast cars, guitars, and living life out loud. Most importantly she is a believer in what’s right is right, what’s wrong is wrong, and that no one is above the law.
Morgan was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico (Go Aggies!) where she earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration by majoring in Small Business Management with a minor in Finance.
After graduation Morgan moved across the country where she attended Belmont Law School at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon graduation from Belmont, Morgan returned home to Carlsbad, New Mexico.
During all three years of law school, Morgan served as law clerk for the firm. After graduation, Morgan became a licensed attorney and has since joined the team full-time. Morgan has a desire to continue learning more about the law and learning from the seasoned mentors who surround her. And she continues to be a zealous advocate for all of her clients.
In returning to her hometown, Morgan hopes to contribute to and give back to the community that gave her so much growing up. Most importantly, she is a devoted and loving dog mom to the three best dogs in the whole world; Doc, Winchester, and Zia. Morgan enjoys spending her free time by gardening, have friends and family over for a BBQ, playing tennis, or traveling.
