Roxanne Rodriguez
Rocky founded 575 Law Group in 2005, originally as Lara Law Firm. A native of Carlsbad, she has spent more than two decades serving her community through dedicated legal representation and hands-on community involvement. Throughout her career, Rocky has represented clients in a wide range of matters, building a deep, practical understanding of how injuries, negligence, and life-altering events affect individuals and families.
Her background spans cases connected to personal injury law—including serious accidents, civil rights violations, and litigation involving complex liability issues—giving her a broad courtroom perspective and a strong foundation in advocacy. Rocky is at her best in the courtroom, where she combines strategic litigation skills with a commitment to protecting the rights of injured clients. Above all, she strives to serve the legal needs of her community with clarity, compassion, and results, helping people move forward after some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Rocky is a recovering politician, having served as an Eddy County Commissioner and a nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives. Rocky has served on and led many boards, including the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, Carlsbad Medical Center, Carlsbad Department of Development, and is a member of the Downtown Lions Club and local AAUW branch. Rocky has represented New Mexico on women’s leaderships initiatives and served on national committees addressing energy issues.
Rocky has received numerous awards, being named Best Lawyer in Carlsbad, New Business of the Year, and earning special awards for service to Carlsbad, service to Veterans, and as a Woman Leader and Trailblazer.
Rocky earned her Bachelor’s degree from NMSU, majoring in journalism and mass communications with a supplemental degree in law and society. It was at Texas Tech Law School where she developed a deep love for both the law and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Rocky is an avid (or perhaps rabid) fan of Texas Tech Football. She loves fast cars, guitars, and living life out loud—and spending time chasing her two Australian Shepards, Blue and Mylo.
Most importantly she is a believer in what’s right is right, what’s wrong is wrong, and that no one is above the law.

Grey
Robinson
575 Law Group is proud to welcome Attorney Grey Robinson to the team. Starting with the firm in early September 2025, Grey works in the areas of Personal Injury; Civil Rights; Employment discrimination; Probate; Wills and Estates; Guardianship. “I love being able to help people and think of creative solutions to legal problems,” Grey shared.
An avid hiker and camper, Grey spends as much time as possible in nature. “I absolutely love going to local events in town and going down to the Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Park for hiking and camping,” she said.
Grey attended college at Bridgewater College in Virginia and law school at Samford University in Birmingham Alabama. Her favorite hobbies are camping, hiking and road trips. If she’s not in town for the weekend, she’s probably camping somewhere. Grey recently returned from a three month trip to the Arctic Ocean, Belize, and New Zealand.
“I really think the firm works hard to serve the community whether that’s helping with estate planning and small contracts to being there for families seeking justice for negligence in wrongful death suits. I think Rocky and everyone here strives to help the community in any way we can because we are a part of the community. We live here, we know the people here, and we want to make the community better,” Grey stated.
Kirk
Mathis, Of Counsel
Kirk Mathis brings more than two decades of courtroom experience to his Of Counsel role with 575 Law Group. A native of Lufkin, Texas, Kirk earned his B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University and his J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law. Since beginning his career with the firm of Chandler, Mathis & Zivley, he has built a reputation as a tenacious trial attorney dedicated to fighting for justice in complex personal injury and commercial litigation cases. Kirk has secured record-breaking verdicts across Texas and beyond, including some of the largest verdicts ever awarded in Nacogdoches, Jasper, Angelina, and San Jacinto Counties. His practice spans automobile and truck accidents, wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice, and environmental damage.
Licensed to practice in multiple federal districts throughout Texas, as well as in Colorado and Illinois, Kirk has earned widespread respect for his skill, ethics, and unwavering client advocacy. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers Magazine and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Perry
Zivley, Of Counsel
Perry Zivley joins 575 Law Group as Of Counsel, bringing nearly four decades of experience in personal injury and complex civil litigation. A Houston native, Perry earned his B.B.A. from Southwestern University and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1986. From the start of his career, he has focused on representing plaintiffs in high-stakes cases against major corporations, insurance companies, and negligent parties. Known for his strategic insight and relentless pursuit of justice, Perry has successfully secured substantial verdicts and settlements for clients across Texas and New Mexico—helping individuals and families rebuild after life-altering losses.
Licensed in Texas, New Mexico, and multiple U.S. Federal Courts, Perry has been recognized among Super Lawyers and Texas Top Lawyers for his commitment to excellence in advocacy. His professional affiliations include the Houston Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Beyond the courtroom, he has served on the boards of the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeast Texas and the Open Door Mission, reflecting his deep sense of compassion and community service. Steve
Cummings, Of Counsel
Steven serves as chief legal counsel and financial officer for A.R. Foreman Construction since April of 2019, both roles he still holds today in addition to his work Of Counsel for 575 Law Group.
Steven has varied experience in the law, having worked as a bill analyst for the New Mexico State Senate in 1999 before moving to Carlsbad, where he began his career representing various banks. He continued as bank counsel, then senior vice president and commercial loan Officer for Western Commerce Bank until April of 2019.
Steven worked for the U.S. Air Force starting at the Space and Missile Systems Center in Los Angeles, CA, then transferring to Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM.
Steven grew up in Silver City, New Mexico, and earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from NMSU in finance and banking. He then went on to earn a Master’s in Business Administration and his law degree at UNM.
Steven is father to four accomplished children Zach, Ashley, Megan and Abby. Steven finds great joy not only in watching sports, but also in coaching. He was an assistant high school baseball coach as well as an assistant high school basketball coach for the Cavemen for 13 years.
When Steven is not spending time with his children, you’ll find him with his three adorable dogs Bella, Brook and Baylee. Steven is an avid outdoorsman who loves to golf, fish and boat.
