Congratulations, Judge Riordan—your 575 Law Group family will miss you and wishes you every success in this next chapter.
It’s not goodbye, more like ‘see you later’ as 575 Law Group bids a fond farewell and good luck to Judge Eileen Riordan.
Eileen joined 575 Law Group three years ago. She was the City Attorney for 25 years, and served on the bench as District Judge for two years before joining 575 Law Group.
Born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Eileen graduated from NMSU with a Bachelor of Science with Honors, and then attended UNM School of Law. After law school, she moved to Carlsbad to work as a law clerk at the district court and has made Carlsbad her home ever since.
Eileen was recommended by the Judicial Selection Committee and approved by the Governor for the position of District Judge and will soon be returning to the bench. “I am most excited to resume this important role,” she said.
“While at 575 Law Group, I focused on research and drafting. My most important work, however, was representing children who had come into state custody due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. I will miss the amazing attorneys and dedicated staff at 575 Law Group. The firm provides a wide variety of legal services, and there was always something interesting to research. I will especially miss Rocky Rodriguez’s insight, guidance, and our daily conversations, as she truly enjoys her role as a leader, advocate, and mentor,” Eileen shared. “575 Law Group is a local firm with deep roots in southeastern New Mexico that has the experience and resources to take on large and complex cases,” she added.
For those interested in pursuing a career in the field of law, Eileen shares that “it is a challenging but rewarding path that offers many opportunities to make a significant impact. A law degree can lead you to many different areas and types of practice. It is not an easy profession, but it is one that can lead to great accomplishments.”
